![]() Here is everything you need to know about My Time at Sandrock. ![]() If you’ve ever played a farming/life sim before, you know pretty much what to expect, but My Time at Sandrock has a few tricks up its sleeve. This farming/life simulator takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the situation has gone from bad to wholesome. This is the world of My Time at Sandrock. They find a way to eke out a living, building farms and communities in unlikely locations, much the same way as they did prior to the Calamity. Despite the cataclysm, the human race continues to grow and thrive in locations that are suitable. It has been 300 years since humanity suffered the Day of Calamity. You can, of course, melee attack enemies as you would expect, but there is also 3rd person shooter style combat here too! This keeps the combat interesting and you can switch between the two styles on the fly which is a lot of fun. The battles that you will be part of are much faster and more dynamic. I thought that My Time In Portia was a good game, but the combat alone makes me more excited for this game. Standing Your Groundįor me, the most interesting aspect of My Time at Sandrock is the combat system. You can even go and explore the relics of the old civilization and find interesting things from the past too. Here you can get your explorers hat on and go to try and find all kinds of rare and useful resources that can help you with the many different quests and tasks you have to do. You get to explore the areas around the town and like the name, Sandrock suggests there is a lot of desert surrounding the place. There is a lot for you to do in your workshop and most of the stuff you find in the game world will be usable here in some kind of fashion. As My Time at Sandrock has a social element, you can also do tasks for other people who live in the town and even make them gifts and stuff like there. ![]() You can also use items inside your workshop to build things to help you complete your various tasks. The idea is that you will find lots of new materials on your adventures and you can then use these to improve your workshop. You have a workshop, but it is not exactly the best place to rebuild the town. ![]() There are many NPCs for you to interact with who all have their own stories for you to be a part of. Your job is to help rebuild this place and make a life for yourself in the process. ![]()

If you have a juvenile bearded dragon, you may be wondering if you can feed them superworms. Superworms can be fed as often as every day, but should make up no more than 20% of your dragon’s diet. This is especially important for juvenile dragons who need extra calcium for proper growth and development. When feeding superworms to your bearded dragon, it is important to dust them with a calcium powder supplement since they do not contain enough calcium on their own. They are also relatively inexpensive compared to other types of live food. Bearded dragons typically eat small insects in the wild, so superworms are a good size for them to eat. Superworms are a type of beetle larva that is popular among many lizard owners because they are an easy to digest source of protein. They can also be ordered online from various reptile supply companies. ![]() Read the footnote for an explanation of equirectangular, a fancy word that you need to know if you’re working in VR. Now it’s possible to create a single track to follow objects as they travel around the camera. Also, I’ve used Mocha to track objects in 360 before the addition of an equirectangular* camera and it was super-complicated because I had to splice together a whole bunch of tracks to compensate for the 360 camera distortion. In the past, I forced previous versions of Mocha to work with 360 footage before the VR version, but since Mocha added its VR-specific features, stabilizing a 360-camera became cake compared to the kludgy way it works with the industry standard After Effects 360 plugin, Skybox. Now this year, the post tools for working with VR are catching up. ![]() The thing is there really weren’t many tools specifically designed to work with 360 video. It was a crazy push to be the first to make something and I rode the wave all year. Last year was the year of VR, when all my clients wanted to do something with VR. However, if you are working with VR footage, you won’t have to bend over backwards to keep using Mocha. ![]() How does Mocha VR compare to Mocha Pro? If you’re not doing VR, stick with Mocha Pro. In my experience, all the features of Mocha run more smoothly in the standalone than when they’re launched and run inside of After Effects.** Maybe I’m old school, or maybe I just try to get the maximum performance from my workstation, but I always choose to run Mocha VR by itself and only open After Effects when I’m ready to export. Limited-feature versions of Mocha (Mocha AE and Mocha HitFilm) come installed with the Creative Cloud versions of After Effects and HitFilm 4 Pro, and every update of these plugins is getting closer to looking like a full version of Mocha running inside of the effects panel. There are plugins for Maxon Cinema 4D, The Foundry’s Nuke, HitFilm, and After Effects that allow you to do more with the Mocha data within your chosen 3D or compositing program. Mocha Pro, and Mocha VR are all standalone programs where you work entirely within the Mocha environment and then export your tracks, shapes or renders to another program to do the rest of the compositing work. ![]() If you’re using Mettle Skybox, you need to check out Mocha VR, the VR-enhanced edition of Mocha Pro. ![]() If you’re using Adobe After Effects to do compositing and you’re not using Mocha, then you’re holding yourself back. ![]() |
